CANCELLED - Census 2020: Why It Matters and What You Can Do
Unfortunately this event has been cancelled. We continue to look for ways to stay current and work on the Census and will update the site as opportunities come up.
Census 2020 is on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. What does it mean to you, to Seattle and to King County? Former Governor Gary Locke will be the keynote speaker as the honorary chair of the King County Complete Count committee. Locke oversaw the 2010 Census while serving as Commerce Secretary during the Obama administration. Learn about why the Census matters and what you can do to make sure King County has a Complete Count!
We will host a panel of local census leaders to hear what is happening and how people can be involved:
· Kamau Chege, Manager, Washington Census Alliance
· Elsa Batres-Boni, City of Seattle, Census Strategic Advisor
· Francesca Abellera, Parnerships Specialist, US Census Bureau
· HyeEun (Heidi Park), Census Program Manager, King County
Monday, March 16, 2020 - 7:30 to 8:45 p.m.
