VOTE on August 19, 2008 in Washington’s Top Two Primary Election

Washington’s upcoming primary is a new system for the state. Here are some helpful links to learn more about the top two primary system as well as specific information about the candidates and issues appearing on the ballot.

Voter registration

In order to vote, you must be registered in advance. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked, and online registrations filed, by July 19th. The deadline for registering in person at county elections offices is August 4th.

  • Registration forms are available at libraries, community service centers, fire stations, public schools and the League of Women Voters of Seattle (call 206-329-4848).

Immigration Study

The League of Women Voters is studying immigration at the local, state and federal level.
