Mark your calendars now for the third biennial Seattle School Board Candidates Forum focusing on arts education and the governance of Seattle Public Schools.
Monday, Oct. 15
6:30 – 8:00 p.m
Seattle Children's Theatre
201 Thomas St.
Seattle, WA 98109
Preceding the forum, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., enjoy light refreshments and meet Seattle Public Schools' new manager of visual and performing arts, Carri Campbell.
The candidates forum is part of the continuing efforts of the Office and the Seattle Arts Commission Education Committee to promote increased arts education opportunities for all Seattle public school students. With a new superintendent at Seattle Public Schools and four of seven school board positions up for election, this is an important time of change for the district. We encourage all who care about excellent public schools in our city to turn out and hear from these candidates.
This forum is hosted by the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs and the Seattle Arts Commission Education Committee in partnership with the League of Women Voters, ArtsEd Washington and the Washington State Arts Alliance, along with many other friends of arts education.
