LWVS Voter Registration Trainings

The League of Women Voters of Seattle regularly holds trainings for members that would like to help out registering citizens to vote at various events around the area this summer and fall. These informational sessions are a wonderful resource, whether you're a seasoned registrar just looking to hone your skills and learn about recent changes in election rules and procedures, or a brand-new volunteer!

Sessions last about an hour. Bring your friends! Please RSVP to the League office if you would like to participate: 206-329-4848 or lindsay@seattlelwv.org Trainings will be scheduled throughout the summer.

Both the April forum (National Popular Vote Compact) and May forum (The Current State of Health Care and Health Care Reform: A National and Local Perspective) are on the King County TV schedule (and in their archives). Go to www.kingcounty.gov/kctv.aspx and click on "TV Schedule" to find broadcast times.

They Represent You: A Citizen's Guide to Elected Officials (TRY) contains contact information for elected officials in Washington state, legislative committees, political parties and more, and is updated each year.

For online version, click on TRY 2009.

Free copies are available at the League office, at local libraries and many county and city offices. Tax-deductible donations to our Education Fund are gladly accepted.

Email info@seattlelwv.org to request a copy. Include your name, address and phone number in your email. For large quantities, feel free to stop by our office to pick up as many as you wish for distribution to your community group, church, school, retirement home, workplace, etc. Sorry, we are unable to accommodate requests for delivery. Our office hours are generally Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
