Tuesday, April 8 League Office The Civic Education Committee meets the second Tuesday of the month. We are finalizing details to partner on a project to provide students and newspaper readers with information on the people and process involved in the national election. Tuesday, April 8 League Office The Social Justice committee now meets on the second Tuesday of the month. At the March meeting, the committee continued work on the May unit materials and a forum on voting rights. Members reported on work with the Real Change Organizing Project and the Seattle League board’s endorsement of the petition to urge the City of Seattle to stop all non-emergency sweeps and focus instead on expanding housing with supportive services for those leaving homelessness. | ||
