It will be only the second such meeting, and the program will reflect suggestions made at the first meeting. What priority does water have among the many problems presented by climate change? What plans are under way to protect the livability of our region? Are solutions being framed rapidly enough? At the Decmber meeting, the committee will hear an update from Bill Block, Project Director, The Committe to End Homelessness, on the 10-year plan to end homelessness in King County. Members will discuss with Mr. Block our mutual concerns about housing availability, full funding for the "services in place," and community education efforts. | ||

Monday, Dec. 10 League Office The International Relations Committee will continue to discuss its research on the UN's Millenium Development Goals to cut poverty, better maternal health, an dincrease literacy, among other things, around the world. The committee's research has just begun and will culminate in April 2008 in a report and forum. New members are welcome.
