August 19 Ballot Issues

All King County voters

King County's Initiative 26 seeks to amend the King County charter to make certain county offices nonpartisan and to establish the nonpartisan selection of districting committee members; a council-proposed alternative would allow the candidates to list their political party preferences.

Kangley/Palmer voters

King County Fire Protection District No. 47's Proposition No. 1 asks to authorize a property tax levy for fire and emergency services.

Maple Valley voters

Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety (King County Fire Protection District No. 43)'s Proposition No. 1 seeks to restore the property tax levy rate to finance increased costs of fire protection and emergency medical services.

Shoreline voters

Shoreline Fire Department's Proposition No. 1 asks to authorize a property tax levy rate to finance fire protection and emergency medical services.

Ronald Annexation Area's Proposition No. 1 proposes the annexation of the Ronald Annexation Area into the Ronald Wastewater District.

Skykomish voters

King County Fire District No. 50's Proposed Annexation into Fire Protection District No. 50 proposes the annexation of Skykomish into Fire Protection District No. 50.

The Town of Skykomish's Proposition No. 1 proposes the annexation of Skykomish into Fire Protection District No. 50.

Snoqualmie voters

Snoqualmie Pass Fire and Rescue's Proposition No. 1 seeks to authorize benefit charges.
